Rain Ready Ottawa Rebates for Residents

There’s an exciting new pilot program to support residents in taking action on their property to reduce the harmful impacts of rainfall and runoff. Through outreach, education, and rebates, this program aims to help residents, such as those within the Centrepointe Community, be better prepared for rain. By becoming rain ready, community members will also help maintain and protect the Ottawa River watershed from pollutants that rainfall runoff brings into Ottawa’s watershed.

As large parts of your community are in a priority area of the program, you may be eligible for up to $5,000 in rebates to help install stormwater management projects on your property. Installing a rain ready project can help prevent property damage, erosion, flooding, and harmful runoff caused by stormwater.

Eligible projects include:

  • Permeable Pavement and Pavers (up to $5,000)
  • Rain Gardens (up to $2,500)
  • Soakaway Pits (up to $2,500)
  • Downspout Redirections (up to $750 per redirection)
  • Certified Landscape Design (up to $500)

Aside from rebates, Rain Ready Ottawa also offers free eLearning courses on the above projects, supports community rain barrel sales, provides industry training in fusion landscape design, and has a variety of additional resources available to residents on our webpage.
